Canada is the largest country in the continent of North America. IT stands as the second largest country of the world after Russia and before China. The country is full of natural resources and produces large amount of wheat that is enough to export it to major parts of the world. The country has deposits of natural gas and other petroleum products. It has a variation in its climate and possesses virtually all types of climatic conditions. The country is famous tourist destination and people form all over the world come to visit Canada, especially to see the Niagara Falls situated on the border between Canada and U.S. Like every country Canada cuisines and delicacies are also very famous.
Canada is a part of America whose native population was comprised of mostly Red Indians and Aborigines. The British and French colonialists went on a destruction spree and destroyed the native population. After becoming free form British and French rule, Canada inculcated much of the culture from them. The Canada cuisines and delicacies are a result of British and French influence on Canada. Even the people living in Quebec still speak French language whereas major population of Canada speaks English. Canada’s flag has Maple leaf drawn on it. This describes their love for Maple syrup, sugar and other Maple tree related products.
Canada is famous for its beer. But non alcoholic beverages such as spruce beer are also drinked. Canadians prefer eating fiddleheads, bacons and pancakes. The food varies from occasion to occasion. During Thanksgiving, Canadians eat Turkey, Beet Soup, Sprouts and Pumpkin Pie. Canada Day that is celebrated on 1st of July is celebrated with a special cake called the Canada day cake. It resembles exactly the Canadian Flag. People who come from Asia also influence the delicacies of Canada such as Indians who cook varieties of vegetarian and non vegetarian food.
